Mödlareuth, - “Little Berlin“ - was known as one of the most famous symbols of the division of Germany. Once a place of separation, it is now a memorial site with the Deutsch-Deutsches Museum Mödlareuth and represents the overcoming of boundaries, and has turned into a place of encounter.
This historical site makes it possible for individuals, groups and school classes to explore the topic of the inner-German border hands on. It also gives them the opportunity to learn about the history of German division within the European context in many different and exemplified ways as part of extracurricular education. In the following, we would like to provide an overview of the different attractions and experiences we offer to our visitors.
