Sehr geehrte Besucher,
das Deutsch-Deutsche Museum Mödlareuth hat trotz Baustelle geöffnet – das Hauptgebäude mit Dauerausstellung, Kino, Cafeteria und sanitären Anlagen, das Außengelände mit Mauerrest und Modellausstellung wie auch das begehbare Fahrzeugdepot sind für Besucher zugänglich.
Die Sperrung erfolgt entlang der Kreisstraße HO3 zwischen dem Museumshauptgebäude und der Kreisstraße K 310. Für Besucher bleibt ein Fußweg durch die Baustelle geöffnet.
Für Reisende aus Richtung Töpen/Bayern (A72 AS Hof/Töpen) gibt es keine Behinderungen. Busgruppen können die Wendeschleife am Hauptgebäude (P1) nutzen, um die Gäste ein- und aussteigen zu lassen. Ein Ausweichparkplatz für Busse ist vorhanden – melden Sie sich hierfür an der Kasse im Hauptgebäude. Pkw können wie gewohnt P1 oder P2 nutzen.
Für Reisende aus Richtung Juchhöh (B2) oder Gebersreuth: Sie können entweder der Umleitung über die B2 nach Töpen folgen und fahren uns von dort aus an. Oder Sie parken auf dem thüringischen Parkplatz an der Mauer (P2), hier gibt es auch einen Ticketautomaten. Sie erreichen das Hauptgebäude entweder über den Fußweg durch die Baustelle oder Sie laufen durch das Außengelände und folgen nach Querung des Baches der Ausschilderung zum Hauptgebäude.

Dear visitors,
the Mödlareuth German-German Museum remains open despite ongoing road construction work. The main building – featuring the permanent exhibition, cinema, cafeteria, and restrooms – as well as the outdoor area (with a section of the Wall and a model display) and the accessible vehicle depot are all open to visitors.
The road closure affects the HO3 district road between the museum’s main building and district road K 310. However, a pedestrian path through the construction zone remains open for visitors.
There are no travel disruptions for visitors arriving from the direction of Töpen/Bavaria (A72 motorway, Hof/Töpen exit). Bus groups may use the turning loop at the main building (P1) for passenger drop-off and pick-up. An alternative bus parking area is available; please check in at the main building’s ticket counter for details. Passenger cars may use parking lots P1 or P2 as usual.
For visitors arriving from the direction of Juchhöh (B2) or Gebersreuth: You can either follow the detour via the B2 to Töpen and approach us from there, or park at the Thuringia-side lot by the Wall (P2), where a ticket machine is available. You can reach the main building either via the pedestrian path through the construction zone or by walking through the outdoor area; after crossing the stream, simply follow the signs to the main building.
