The individual units are now coordinated components leading to the  entire final project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accordingly, when the construction of the open-air site took place from 1991- 1994, a kind of \u2028\u201cmuseum  infrastructure\u201c was established at the same time with administration, archive, library and a depot. The existing depot area was expanded during the time  of 1997 \/1998 by building a new vehicle depot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the years 1999 to 2003 numerous renovations and restructuring works were carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, a film auditorium, a room for special exhibitions, an information desk and a museum shop have been created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mit einem Architektenwettbewerb zum Bau eines neuen Hauptgeb\u00e4udes und Umgestaltung des Au\u00dfengel\u00e4ndes startete im Jahr die Museumserweiterung. Zuerst wurde der Au\u00dfenbereich umgestaltet, mit neuen Infotafeln und barrierefreien Besucherwegen ausgestattet. Im Mai 2023 fand die feierliche Grundsteinlegung statt. Am 9. November 2025 wurde das neue Geb\u00e4ude er\u00f6ffnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auf insgesamt 500 Quadratmetern Ausstellungsfl\u00e4che erwarten den Besucher rund 500 Objekte.
